Who we are

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men’s fraternal organization founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney in Connecticut, USA. The organization has since grown to become the world’s largest Catholic fraternal service organization, with over 2 million members in more than 16,000 councils worldwide.

The primary mission of the Knights of Columbus is to provide charitable service to communities and promote Catholic values through various programs and initiatives. The organization is committed to supporting families, protecting the sanctity of human life, and defending religious freedom.

To build a strong foundation for success and to position your council to last for generations, it is important that all council leaders work as a team and understand their individual duties and responsibilities. It is also important that this knowledge be passed to future leaders, so they will be prepared to one day assume these roles

Overall, the Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men’s organization dedicated to serving their communities and promoting Catholic values through charitable activities, youth programs, pro-life initiatives, support for veterans, and support for the Church.
